San Antonio Spurs vs Atlanta Hawks
Start Time – 4:30 PM EST
The San Antonio Spurs and the Atlanta Hawks will hit the court at the Thomas & Mack Center tomorrow in Vegas with three summer games under their belts already. The Spurs went 0-3 in California, while the Hawks had a better time with things in Salt Lake City, going 2-1.
I’m going with the Hawks and their top draft pick, Kingston Flemings, who has played well this summer, to keep their success going in the desert.
Best Bet: Atlanta -3.5 (-110)
Utah Jazz vs Washington Wizards
Start Time – 9:00 PM EST
The premier game of Day 1 in Las Vegas is surely this one, as the Washington Wizards and the #1 draft pick, AJ Dybantsa, go up against the Utah Jazz and #2 pick Darryn Peterson.
Peterson played very well in the Utah summer league, leading the league in scoring (26.5 ppg) and three-pointers made, helping lead the Jazz to a perfect 3-0 record. With second-year pro Ace Bailey also on the roster, the Jazz will win tomorrow, and Peterson will get his draft revenge.
