NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview for Tuesday, July 7th
Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies
Start Time – 7:00 PM EST
The Atlanta Hawks and the Memphis Grizzlies both head into action in Salt Lake City tonight with 1-1 records, so this game decides who leaves a winner and who a loser.
The Grizzlies can run out a very impressive roster, assuming everyone plays, including #3 draft pick Cameron Boozer, who has looked sharp, plus veterans Cedric Coward, Olivier-Maxence Prosper, and Javon Small. I’m trusting their talent advantage over the Hawks to play out on the court.
Best Bet: Memphis -3.5 (-110)
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Utah Jazz
Start Time – 9:00 PM EST
The home side, the 2-0 Utah Jazz, wrap up the action in Salt Lake City with the league’s final game, facing the 0-2 Oklahoma City Thunder. The Jazz will look to run the table in front of their home fans (spoiler alert: I think they’ll pull it off).
The Thunder hasn’t exactly sent a star-studded roster to Utah, and it’s shown on the court. Meanwhile, #2 pick Darryn Peterson has looked great for the undefeated Jazz, going for 25 points and 12 assists in their last game, a win over Boozer and the Grizzlies.
Best Bet: Utah -3.5 (-115)
