NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview for Sunday, July 5th
Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks
Start Time – 3:00 PM EST
Two teams I was in on yesterday, the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks, go at it today in the opener at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The Bucks came through for me; the Nets failed to cover the spread by half a point. Grr.
Yet, I’m in on the underdog Brooklyn squad again today. As noted yesterday, they’ve got a roster packed with NBA experience, led by Egor Demin, who went off for 23 points and seven boards in their first summer game.
Best Bet: Brooklyn -2.5 (-110)
Miami Heat vs Los Angeles Lakers
Start Time – 4:30 PM EST
Two of LeBron James’s former teams go at it in the first game in the Bay today, with the 1-0 Miami Heat facing the 0-1 Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lakers didn’t just drop their debut summer game – they got throttled by 32 points to a Golden State Warriors team that is split in two (half the roster is playing in Sacramento, half in San Francisco). Miami will cover the spread in this one.
Best Bet: Miami -4.5 (-118)
