Game 4 of the Finals finally brought us our first game decided by more than one goal, with the Carolina Hurricanes beating the Vegas Golden Knights in the desert 5-3 to even up the series. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t any less wild, with the Canes coughing up a two-goal lead before going on to clinch the game in the final period.
It also means the best home team in the league, that being Carolina, has snatched back home ice advantage in what is now a best-of-three series. It’s boring (and hasn’t been effective) always betting on the home team, but historically that gives you at least a 55% of cashing your bet in the Stanley Cup Finals. And with neither team really separating themselves from the other, and no significant injuries on either side, I’m going to keep root, root, rooting for the home team.
