Start Time: 8:00 PM EST (Sunday)
Not only is the setting unusual – outdoors on the South Lawn of the White House – but instead of Saturday, this is a Sunday event, and instead of a typical 13-fight card, we’re only getting seven.
And an American is getting knocked out in the main event. Justin Gaethje is being sacrificed to the undefeated current UFC Lightweight Champion Ilia Topuria in Sunday’s feature fight. Gaethje eats too many strikes to survive against an absolute wrecking ball like Topuria. I don’t see how Gaethje doesn’t eat one strike too many on Sunday.
