Portland Fire vs Los Angeles Sparks

The 2026 edition of the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup rolls on tomorrow, with two teams looking for their first win in the competition. Both the visiting Portland Fire and the hometown Los Angeles Sparks are 0-2 in the round robin tournament.
Despite their poor start in Cup games, the debuting Fire are off to a nice start in the franchise’s first season of existence. Sitting at 6-6, they’re also even steven at home (4-4) and on the road (2-2).
The road stat is the important one, since tomorrow’s game takes place in La La Land, a city where the Sparks are surprisingly not very good at winning games in (1-5 at home this season, 9-13 last season). This all adds up to good news for my best bet tomorrow, since I’m in on the Portland side.
My line is Los Angeles -1.5, so the Fire plus the points is the play that pays and is my best bet for Sunday.
