Will I ever cash another NBA bet this season?! I’m still up money for the playoffs, and up a bunch for the season as a whole, but losing seven straight plays is not the ending to the season I was hoping for. Maybe we can right the ship tomorrow. New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs

Start Time – 8:30 PM EST

The San Antonio Spurs booting away Game 1 on their home floor to the New York Knicks when I had them on the spread didn’t help matters for me. With a double-digit lead in the third quarter, I should have been home free to cash my play on the Spurs. Regardless, we’re on to Game 2 tomorrow night.

One of the reasons I felt good about my Spurs play, despite the historic heater that the Knicks are currently on, is how good the men in black are on their home court. San Antonio went 32-8 at the Frost Bank Center in the regular season, but is now only 5-4 in the postseason playing in front of their home fans.

So what do I do here? Go with my numbers, which say San Antonio should be a 6.5-point favorite, or go with the results from Game 1? I’m going with my gut. New York plus the points is my play for Friday.
