I’m hitting up the late game of the three-game WNBA slate tomorrow, and I’m heading to the home of the champions, the Las Vegas Aces. While advanced stats have the Aces sitting in seventh in the 15-team league, they’ve still managed to win seven of their first 10 games this season.
The visiting squad tomorrow night, the Seattle Storm, have limped out of the gate, going 3-9 (1-5 on the road), and are only ahead of the abysmal Connecticut Sun in the league standings. Yet, I’m in on the Storm tomorrow on the spread, because my calculations compel me to.
The Aces may still be without their second-leading scorer, Chennedy Carter, tomorrow as she nurses a leg injury (she’s been on the sidelines for the past week). Plus, after crunching the numbers, my line is only Las Vegas -9, so the Storm plus the points is the play.
