The Eastern Conference half of the NBA Playoffs has been a tight affair, with three of the four first-round series going the full seven games. Two of those Game 7s happen tomorrow. Here are your NBA Playoffs predictions and preview for Sunday, May 3rd.
NBA Playoffs Predictions & Preview For Sunday, May 3rd
Orlando Magic vs Detroit Pistons
Start Time – 3:30 PM EST
Tomorrow’s hopefully exciting action kicks off in Motown, as the top-seeded Detroit Pistons look to complete the comeback and dispatch the #8 seed, the Orlando Magic.
These Pistons are a hard team to trust in the playoffs, as they can’t seem to put together a complete, 48-minute game. But I think Detroit will get the job done tomorrow. There will be no Franz Wagner for the Magic on Sunday, and the rest of the Magic have turned back into pumpkins. My line is Detroit -10.5, so the Pistons will cover.
Best Bet: Detroit -8.5 (+101)
Toronto Raptors vs Cleveland Cavaliers
Start Time – 7:30 PM EST
The final team to punch their ticket into the second round will be either the Toronto Raptors or the Cleveland Cavaliers. The undermanned Raptors forced a Game 7 after a dramatic win on their home court in Game 6.
But the good times stop tomorrow in Cleveland for the Raptors, I’m afraid. No Brandon Ingram (probably), no Immanuel Quickley, and playing on the road will be too much for the visitors. My line is Cleveland -6, so the Cavs will win, but the Raptors will cover.
Best Bet: Toronto +8.5 (-110)
2025/6 Overall Record: 197-160 (55%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $1,739.98
Return on Investment: 4%
