Daily NBA Player Props – April 4th
Bam Adebayo – Over 11.5 Rebounds (-109)
Adebayo, as always, has been all over the boards lately. He’s got five straight games of finishing with double figures and has done so in seven of his last eight. He’s putting up 12.3 boards per game over that stretch with is a touch above what we’re looking for here. That’s good news given that he’s facing the worst competition he’ll face during that run as well. The Wizards are not just a dreadful team this year in general, but they have been especially bad on the boards – ranking dead last in rebounding percentage.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. – Over 16.5 Points (-102)
As I already mentioned, the Wizards are a terrible team on defense as well as rebounding. They rank 29th in points allowed in the league, which is only ahead of the Jazz. One player I expect to gain from that is Jaquez Jr. He has put up 17 or more in three of his last four games – picking up the slack for a missing Norman Powell, who will again miss Saturday’s contest. Tyler Herro is also questionable with a foot issue, which should lead to more burn for the UCLA-product.
Victor Wembanyama – Over 44.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-111)
Wemby’s push for the MVP trophy took a little bit of a hit as he sat out the last game. However, I think he may have done that so he could be fully rested to put up some gaudy numbers against former MVP Nikola Jokic. The trend certainly supports the over as well, with him scoring 41 points in each of his last two games. With 16.3 rebounds per game over his last three, though shouldn’t even be a sweat.
