MMA Same Game Parlay of the Week: UFC Vegas 112
UFC Vegas 112 Heavyweight Fight: Sean Sharaf vs Steven Asplund
Start Time: 7:00pm EST (ESPN+)
When you break down this fight, there is one thing that is for sure – the violence is coming. With that being said, I think the durability and pace of both of these fighters allow us to rack up some statistics first and help us cash this same-game parlay.
Steven Asplund may have scored a 16 second knockout on Dana White’s Contender Series, but for all of his regional career he’s been known for his pace and output. He gets in fighters’ faces and throws with plenty of volume. For that reason, I really like his chances of racking up at least 50 strikes.
To add to that stat, I think that pace is going to be overwelming for Sean Sharaf. He wilted in the second round of his UFC debut, and that was against someone who does not nearly have the pace of Asplund. As a result, I think he’s going to look to shoot a takedown to alleviate some of that pressure or to stay alive. Asplund has given up takedowns in the past, so I think Sharaf could definitely score one for this parlay.
