I’m going with a regular and a first-time pick for my winning goal scorer parlay on Saturday. My regular is playing on Long Island tomorrow against the New York Islanders.
That would be the Tampa Bay Lightning’s Brandon Hagel. Hagel is the league’s hottest player, with nine goals over his last 10 games, bringing his season total up to a team-best 18.
Nashville Predators vs Colorado Avalanche
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
Now for my offbeat selection. It really isn’t that offbeat, as this player has led the NHL in scoring twice in his career, although the last time was 14 years ago. I’m, of course, talking about the Nashville Predators’ Steven Stamkos.
Stamkos is on fire, scoring eight of his 12 goals over his last 10 games. Even more impressive, four of those goals came in his last game. Hopefully his stick is still hot tomorrow night in Denver.
