Day three of filling in on this column for my co-host, Jeff Fox, and we’re hot off a victory. The Giants cruised to a big moneyline win for us last night. We’re back on the ball field again in this one. I’ve cooked up a best bet for Friday July 4th for us. Come check out this MLB prediction and let’s win some money.

Detroit Tigers vs Cleveland Guardians
Start Time: 7:10 PM EST
For our best bet on the diamond on Sunday, we’re going to take a look at a road favorite.
The Tigers enter this one on a two-game losing streak. While that’s never ideal, they have a couple of things working for them. The first being that they get Reese Olson back on Friday. He was dominant before a finger injury cost him a few weeks. In fact, his last start was 6.0 one-hit innings against the Blue Jays. The second thing they have working for them is that their bats are hot. Even with the two straight losses, they’ve posted 35 runs in their last five games (7.0 per game).
The same can’t be said of the Guardians who are on a much worse skid. In their last seven games, they’re 0-7 with only 12 runs scored. Their starter, Slade Cecconi, is coming off his worst start of the season as well.
With the disparity in the hitting, I don’t just like the moneyline on the Tigers, but I’m going to stretch the value to the runline.
