Two more Stanley Cup Playoffs second-round series kick off tomorrow, one in the East, one out West. And, as of this article being written, my pick of the Florida Panthers on the moneyline isn’t looking too hot on Monday night, so I better make up for it with a winner on Tuesday. For my best bet for Tuesday, May 6th: NHL Predictions, we’re headed to the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Let’s go!
Best Bet for Tuesday (May 6th): NHL Predictions
Carolina Hurricanes vs Washington Capitals
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Despite being the second-best team in the NHL this regular season and running through the Montreal Canadiens in the first round in five games, AND having home ice advantage until the Stanley Cup Finals, not much is expected of the Washington Capitals these playoffs. Money Puck gives them the lowest chances of all the remaining teams to win the Cup, and only gives them a 44.5% chance of beating the Carolina Hurricanes this round.
Yet, I’m going against the grain and putting my faith in the Capitals. They are one of the league’s best home teams this season (including winning all three on home ice in the first round), while the Hurricanes are among the worst in the league on the road. Let’s go with the home dog Capitals on the moneyline for our best bet tomorrow.
