Our first weekend of college basketball tournament action ends tomorrow with four championship games. That means that four more teams will be added to the field of 68 that qualify for the madness of March. For my SGPN Parlay for Sunday (March 9th): College Basketball Parlay, I’ve cooked up a winning Same Game Parlay for the Big South Championship game going down in Johnson City, Tennessee. Winthrop Eagles vs High Point Panthers
Start Time: 12:00 PM EST
The top team in the Big South this season, the 14-2 (28-5 overall) High Point Panthers, will look to punch their ticket to the Big Dance tomorrow as they take on the #3 seed, the Winthrop Eagles. And if past performance is indicative of future results, the Eagles should get their bags packed for March Madness.
That’s because the Panthers smoked the Eagles both times they faced each other this season, winning both games by 22 points. High Point covers the spread for the first half of our parlay.
For the second half, I’m taking the under for the game total. It’s currently set at 161.5 points, which, once again, based on past performance, is way too high. These teams scored a combined 154 and 146 points when they faced each other during the regular season.
