Brooklyn Nets vs Charlotte Hornets

Start Time – 6:00 PM EST

The Charlotte Hornets came oh so close to upsetting the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night, losing by one point. But they’re back in action tomorrow night to try to get themselves a W against the Brooklyn Nets.

Despite this being a back-to-back for the Hornets, they are still a live dog on the spread for me. By my calculations, the Nets should only be favored by a point, and that doesn’t even consider the fact that perhaps their top player, Cameron Johnson, will not be playing tomorrow night.

Best Bet: Charlotte +4.5 (-110)

New Orleans Pelicans vs Houston Rockets

Start Time – 7:00 PM EST

So what’s the deal with the line for this game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Houston Rockets? I assumed the Rockets must have a bunch of players questionable or sitting out the game, but Fred VanVleet is the only key player out.

Houston should be a massive favorite here. They are 20-10 at home, the Pelicans are 6-26 on the road, and Houston has beaten them all three times they’ve met this season. Houston -14.5 is my line.
