On the strength of a 13-5 conference record, the Bucknell Bison got a bye into the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Championship, plus they get to host this game tomorrow against the #8 ranked Loyola Maryland Greyhounds. The Greyhounds got past the #9 seeded Lehigh by four points on Tuesday to earn their shot at the top team.
Bucknell won both of their matchups with Loyola Maryland this season, by 12 points at home and by three in Loyola’s barn. The Bison are a very strong 11-3 at home in the Sojka Pavillion, while the Greyhounds are only 5-11 on the road this season.
After crunching the numbers, I have this game lined up as Bucknell -10.5. The Bison will roam on into the semifinals, and they will cover the spread for us in the process.
