College Basketball Picks March 5
UConn -3.5 vs. Marquette
2024-25 has been a disappointment for Dan Hurley and the Huskies. The back-to-back National Champions have two fewer losses this year than they have had in the last two seasons combined. UConn has continued its offensive prowess, but it’s on the defensive end where the Huskies have significantly fallen off.
On Feb. 1, UConn defeated Marquette on the road, 77-69. Liam McNeeley, who is playing some of the best basketball in the country at the moment, didn’t play in that one.
UConn has not been good against the spread all season, but I think this is a spot where they can seize the moment. The Huskies will likely be an eight—or nine-seed in the NCAA tournament. If they can capitalize on their momentum, the sky is the limit for Dan Hurley’s bunch.
