It’s been a long time coming, but I think it’s safe to say now that the Boston Bruins’ days of being an elite NHL team are over (at least for this season). Barely above .500, the Bruins currently sit in fifth place in the Atlantic Division and have less than a 10% chance of even making the playoffs.
So, not surprisingly, I’m taking the Minnesota Wild at home tomorrow against the visiting Bruins. Especially after seeing Brad Marchand leave Saturday’s Boston game against Pittsburgh with an injury after getting slammed into the boards. My spread here is Minnesota by 0.70 goals, as they hold one the strongest home-ice advantages historically in the NHL. While the puck line of -1.5 isn’t really in play, the moneyline provides plenty of value on the Wild at -145,
