Long-suffering spouses of sports gamblers must have had something to do with the sports schedule we’re being offered tomorrow – the day of love, Valentine’s Day. No NBA. No NHL (or 4 Nations Face-Off tournament). Baseball and football are out of season. But we do have college basketball action to watch and bet on and ignore our sweethearts for. For my best bet for Friday, February 14th: College Basketball Predictions, we’re spending our Valentine’s evening in Harvard’s Lavietes Pavillion. Off to Boston, we go!

Cornell Big Red vs Harvard Crimson
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
While we do have college basketball action tomorrow night, we have no ranked teams. And it was a struggle to find a line I liked, but I do like this one for some Friday night Ivy League action. And I’m betting on the visiting Cornell Big Red to not show much love to their hosts, the Harvard Crimson (both teams named after the color of Valentine’s Day, coincidentally).
Cornell and Harvard have inverse records – 13-7 for the Big Red, and 7-13 for the Crimson. Harvard is actually one of the worst teams in the nation, based on advanced stats, and has lost four of their last five. Plus, the Big Red beat the Crimson by 15 a couple of weeks ago.
Cornell -8.5 is my line, so the Big Red laying the points is my best bet for tomorrow.
