College Basketball Picks February 13
Nebraska -1.5 vs. Maryland
Don’t sleep on the Cornhuskers! Nebraska is one of the streakiest teams in the nation and has just rattled off four consecutive wins, all against formidable opponents. If it wasn’t for their six-game losing streak in late January, we might be looking at a top-five seed in the NCAA tournament.
Now it’s looking more like they will be a 9, 10, or 11 seed, but nonetheless, they are a scrappy bunch, committed on the defensive end. Brice Williams has taken a massive step from last season and is carrying this team offensively.
I’ve been on record with my praise for this Maryland team, so you know this pick was tough for me. The Terrapins have elite size and length, which should translate well for the tournament.
That said, I’ll be rocking with one of the hottest teams in the country at home!
