Ohio State Buckeyes vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Start Time – 7:30 PM EST
We get an improbable national championship game this year, with the #8 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes facing the #7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish for all the marbles. But if you follow the behind-the-scenes advanced metrics, you aren’t too surprised, as Ohio State is the top-ranked team in the country, and Notre Dame is second.
And, most importantly for my best bet tomorrow, the gap between the two teams isn’t that wide. Ohio State would only be expected to win by a couple of points if they faced Notre Dame at a neutral site. And, hey – tomorrow’s game is at a neutral site! That would make the Notre Dame Fighting Irish the value play on the spread by my math.
They may not hoist the championship trophy, but the Fighting Irish will at least fight for our money.
