Portland Trail Blazers vs Houston Rockets

Start Time – 8:00 PM EST

The Houston Rockets continue to be one of the best teams in the NBA this season, and one of my best – and most successful – plays through the first quarter of the season. The size of the spread for their game tomorrow against the Portland Trail Blazers hints that everyone else is starting to wake up to how good Houston is, but there’s still value on the line.

I have this game handicapped as Houston -20.5. Yes, a massive line, but Houston, as mentioned, is really good and they’re at home. And Portland, despite some surprising wins lately, stinks.

Sacramento Kings vs Los Angeles Clippers

Start Time – 10:30 PM EST

My calculations haven’t let me down too often this season, so I’m just going to go with them for this game and take the Los Angeles Clippers on the spread. I have them calculated as a seven-point favorite at home, yet we’re getting them as the dog.

Norman Powell will be out tomorrow for the Clippers, but based on plus/minus he’s only worth a point total this season, so no massive loss there. And the Clippers, despite the continuous injuries, are rolling, winning three straight games, and have a solid 6-4 record at home.
