Boston Celtics vs Charlotte Hornets

Start Time – 6:00 PM EST

The Boston Celtics and the Charlotte Hornets are playing a “baseball series” with back-to-back games in Charlotte. I didn’t play the spread on this game on Friday, but I will on Saturday.

The Celtics mean business this season – they aren’t taking any opponents lightly. They beat the Hornets by 15 points on Friday without starting center Al Horford, who will be back for Saturday’s game. I think they can make tomorrow a case of deja vu all over again.

Utah Jazz vs Denver Nuggets

Start Time – 10:00 PM EST

The Utah Jazz were expected to be lousy this season even if healthy. However, they are most definitely not at full strength at this point, with three of their top players, Jordan Clarkson, Lauri Markkanen, and Taylor Hendricks all on the sidelines.

Now the undermanned Jazz have to play on the road in Denver, not an easy task. I’ve crunched the numbers, taking into account both teams’s Simple Rating on Basketball Reference, Denver’s home-court advantage, and the fact that the Nuggets are playing on Friday as well, and have this line as Denver -15. We’re getting a deal.
