Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – May 27

Jayson Tatum – Higher than 15.5 Rebounds + Assists

The Boston Celtics look to complete the sweep and punch their ticket to the NBA Finals on Monday night in Indianapolis. And to do so they’re going to need another big game from Jayson Tatum.

I’m staying away from Tatum’s points, as it’s currently set at 29.5, and instead, I’m counting on Tatum to register higher than 15.5 rebounds plus assists in Game 4. That looks like a high number, but he’s beaten it in five of his last six games and eight of his last 10. He’s really been crashing the boards hard this playoff run.

Derrick White – Higher than 9.5 Rebounds + Assists

While Derrick White’s scoring can’t always be counted on (I’m not confident of him topping 15.5 points for Game 4), he always brings the rebounds and assists stats. And I’m counting on that again tomorrow (as are the Celtics).

A total of 9.5 rebounds plus assists should be easy sledding for White on Monday night (that rhymes). You have to go back six games – to May 11th – to find a game where White didn’t get a double-digit total of boards plus dimes. Let’s keep that streak going tomorrow.

Al Horford – Higher than 2.0 Blocks + Steals

Al Horford was the story of Game 3 for the Boston Celtics, hitting an incredible seven three-pointers to help the visitors battle back for the win. But my play on him for Game 4 is a more traditional one for him – defense.

I like the higher than two blocks plus steals for the Boston big man tomorrow, especially with the news that Kristaps Porzingis won’t be returning for the game as was originally hoped. Horford has topped (or tied) two blocks plus steals in four straight games, including getting a steal and three blocks last game.
