Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – May 17
Tyrese Haliburton – Lower than 33.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Haliburton has been one of the biggest reasons why the Pacers are where they are. He picked up half an assist per game from last year and led the NBA with 10.9 per game. That was a while extra 1.1 assists over second place Luka Doncic. However, in the playoffs, those numbers have been way down. In this series with the Knicks, he’s getting just 6.8 dimes per game. His rebounding and scoring has been on par with his season average, but that won’t be enough to meet this projection here.
Jalen Brunson – Lower than 2.5 Three-Pointers Made
Jalen Brunson decided to take over game five in a big way. He came out of the gate hard and never looked back en route to 45 points on 35 shots. Despite shooting that much, he only took six three-pointers and didn’t meet this projection. He can’t shoot much more than he did in that game, so I don’t know how he’d be able to go over in this one other than shooting 50% from deep. I like his touch right now, but just not that much.
Andrew Nembhard – Higher than 4.0 Assists
I’m not sure how Underdog came to this as a projection. Nembhard has been logging consistent minutes every game this series, which is a bit down from the Bucks’ series. With that being said, it’s been since game two of the Bucks’ series since he failed to make this projection. Even in game four of this series, when he logged just 21 minutes, he still had five dimes. I can’t imagine even in the worst scenario that he comes out lower than four.
