I forgot to mention another constant in New York Knicks playoff games in 2024 – a brilliant 40-point performance from their star guard, Jalen Brunson. That was the case again for the victors in their Game 1 win at home, as Brunson scored 43 points, the fourth game he’s gone for at least 40 (and at least six assists).
However, the Indiana Pacers covered the 6.5-point spread, as I predicted they would, which is the most important thing to us and our bankrolls. In fact, the Knicks needed a big fourth quarter (and some questionable calls) to squeak out the victory at Madison Square Garden. The spread has only dropped by one point for Game 2, down to Knicks -5.5. Let’s go with the dogs and the points once again. Plus, with Game 1 going to 238 points, and Indiana always involved in high-scoring affairs, let’s also hit the over 220.
Best Bet: Pacers +5.5 (-110); Pacers/Knicks Over 220 (-106)
