Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – April 14
Khris Middleton – Higher than 5.0 Assists
Khris Middleton – playmaker? The Milwaukee veteran is having a very nice season for assists, averaging 5.3 for the year, just a tad below his career high of 5.4 assists. But he’s been even more charitable lately.
The oft-injured forward averaged 7.0 apg in March, and is at 5.8 apg for April. He’s topped this five-assist projection in two straight games and 10 of his last 11 games. Let’s hope he ends the season off on a generous note on Sunday.
Jaden Ivey – Higher than 7.5 Rebounds + Assists
Another forgettable Detroit Pistons season ends tomorrow against another team that had a disappointing year, the San Antonio Spurs. Jaden Ivey didn’t make a jump in Year 2 like the Pistons probably hoped for, but I think he’s going to have a good game on Sunday.
At the very least I think he’s going to get higher than 7.5 rebounds plus assists. The sophomore guard is averaging 7.4 boards plus dimes this season, but he’s topped this 7.5 projection in three of his last four games and five of his eight contests.
Devin Booker – Lower than 6.5 Assists
The Phoenix Suns and the Minnesota Timberwolves have a lot riding on their game on Sunday in terms of the Western Conference final standings. But I don’t think Devin Booker is going to have a huge playmaking day.
Phoenix’s defacto point guard is averaging a career-best 6.9 apg this season, but that number hasn’t been reached very often in recent games. Booker has only tallied seven or more assists once in his last four games, and has failed to do so in his last three.
