I’ve been having some luck playing the totals in baseball this season, so let’s try to keep that going with my best bet for Thursday. It’s the total in the Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds game.

These two teams can thank their early success (mediocre success for Cincinnati) on their respective offenses. Both the Brewers and the Reds are scoring close to six runs per game, and have been even more potent recently. Milwaukee has averaged 7.6 runs scored over their last five games; Cincinnati 5.4 runs. And through the first two games of this series against each other, they’ve scored a total of 32 runs. Plus, both of Thursday’s starting pitchers, Freddy Peralta and Nick Martinez, coughed up some runs in their last starts. Over nine runs it is then.
