Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – April 5
Tyrese Haliburton – Higher than 20.5 Points
Haliburton has hit this projection in four of his last five games. If you want to extend it even further, he’s hit the mark in seven of his last nine games. Now he runs into the Thunder, who are usually a good defensive team. However, in their last three games, the Thunder rank 25th in the NBA in points allowed. That should give Haliburton ample opporuntity to score here.
Josh Giddey – Lower than 15.0 Rebounds + Assists
Once upon a time, Giddey was a triple-double machine and this number would look absolutely silly. However, he’s waltzed into this month with some fairly low figures. Not only has he not beat this projection in April, but he hasn’t hit double figures on this combo this month. A game with the Pacers is usually better for scoring, but I’m not sure it helps his rebound numbers enough to get him over this hump.
Deandre Ayton – Higher than 6.5 First Quarter Points
Ayton has been on fire in the first quarter as of late. He’s gone for at least eight points in five of his last six first quarters. That alone should inspire confidence in the Blazers big man. Facing Washington, who ranks dead last in points allowed, certainly won’t hurt Ayton’s cause here. So let’s ride with him being hot early.
