Pittsburgh Pirates vs Washington Nationals

Start Time – 4:05 pm EST

Heading into Wednesday night’s action, the Washington Nationals are 1-3 on the season. No surprise there. But the Pittsburgh Pirates being 4-0 – now that’s a surprise.

However, while taking the Pirates at -130 to beat the Nationals tomorrow is probably a solid play, I’m more interested in getting some plus money. So I’m making a play on the total. Even though Pittsburgh starter Martin Perez has yet to let in a run this season, his counterpart on the Nationals, Josiah Gray, has a 15.75 ERA. Giving up seven runs in four innings will do that. And Pittsburgh’s offense is the fourth-best in the league this season, scoring 39 runs. This game is getting over the nine-run total it’s currently set at.
