Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – March 27
Darius Garland – Lower than 2.5 3-Pointers Made
Darius Garland has been stepping it up a bit in the absence of backcourt teammate Donovan Mitchell. However, I still think his three-pointers made projection is too high for his game on Wednesday against Charlotte.
Garland is only hitting 2.3 three-pointers per game this season and has only hit three combined over his last three games. He’s topped this 2.5 three-pointer projection once in his last six games. His hot streak from deep seems to have flipped to a cold streak. Here’s hoping it continues tomorrow.
Jarrett Allen – Higher than 10.5 Rebounds
And all those misses from three that Garland will throw up have to be rebounded by someone, so why not Garland’s teammate Jarrett Allen? Allen grabbed 13 boards on Monday against the very same Charlotte Hornets team that he is playing tomorrow night.
The Cavaliers big man is averaging 10.7 rebounds per game this season, almost a career-high (10.8 is his best). He’s grabbing almost 12 boards per game in March (11.9 to be exact) and has topped this 10.5 rebound projection in three of his last four games, including a 20-board night against the Miami Heat.
Tyrese Haliburton – Lower than 33.5 Points + Rebs + Asts
Sadly, since he’s my top player on my fantasy team and this week is the semifinals, I’m taking the lower on a Tyrese Haliburton play. The Indiana star hasn’t been the same since rushing back from injury in early January.
So 33.5 points plus rebounds plus assists looks too high for me for Haliburton against the Chicago Bulls tomorrow night. He’s failed to top this in two straight games and has only beaten it once in his last six games. Lower it is. Sigh.
