Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – March 23
Jalen Brunson – Higher than 29.5 Points
After averaging a blistering 31.9 points per game in February, Jalen Brunson has cooled down in March, ‘only’ putting 26.5 points on the board per game. However, that number has gone up considerably lately, which is one of the reasons I’m taking the higher than 29.5 points here.
The heart of the Knicks has topped 29.5 points in three of his last four games, including games of 45 and 42 points. And he’s hit the 30-point mark (or higher) in three of his last four games against the Brooklyn Nets, who he just so happens to be playing tomorrow night.
Donte DiVincenzo – Lower than 7.0 Rebounds + Assists
We’ll stick with the Knicks, but I’m taking a lower than play on Brunson’s collegiate and pro teammate, Donte DiVincenzo. I think his rebounds and assists projection of seven is too high.
DD only averages 3.5 rpg and 2.6 apg, which adds up to 6.1 by my math. And he hasn’t topped seven boards plus dimes in three straight games and four of his last five. Lower than it is then.
Domantas Sabonis – Higher than 13.5 Rebounds
Domantas Sabonis rolls out of bed and grabs 14 rebounds without breaking a sweat. This 13.5 board projection should be no problem for him tomorrow against the Orlando Magic.
The Sacramento big man averages a league-best 13.7 rpg this season and has been even better in March. Try 16.5 rebounds per game on for size. He’s grabbed at least 14 rebounds in five straight games and 10 of his last 11 contests.
