Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – March 17
Damian Lillard – Higher than 10.5 Rebounds + Assists
I think 10.5 rebounds plus assists is too low of a bar for Damian Lillard to not clear tomorrow against Phoenix (obviously since I’m recommending this play, duh). While teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo is questionable for Sunday’s game, maybe that’ll just mean that Lillard will step up his game even more.
For the season, the Milwaukee guard is averaging 4.4 rpg and 6.9 apg, which adds up to 11.3 (math!). And he’s topped this 10.5 rebounds plus assists projection in four straight games. Let’s make it five straight tomorrow.
Grayson Allen – Higher than 2.5 3-Pointers Made
While he’s justifiably overshadowed by his ‘Big 3’ teammates on the Phoenix Suns, Grayson Allen is quietly having a career year in his first season in the desert. And he’s not just the team’s best three-point shooter – he’s the most accurate in the NBA.
Allen isn’t just accurate on his threes, his quantity of threes is up there as well. He’s averaging 2.7 long-bombs made per game going into Sunday’s action. This includes topping this 2.5 three-pointers made projection in three straight games and five of his last six games.
Nikola Jokic – Higher than 27.5 Points
I’ve been playing higher on Nikola Jokic’s points scored quite often lately, and I’m going to that well again on Sunday. He’s going up against the Dallas Mavericks, who can’t stop anyone, let alone a player of Jokic’s caliber.
The big man has upped his scoring average up to 26.0 ppg for the season on the strength of 28.0 ppg in the month of March. Two of his last three games and three of his last five have seen him get into the 30s in the scoring column. He also dropped 33 on the Mavericks earlier this season.
