NBA Picks March 11th
Phoenix Suns vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
Tipoff – 7:30 pm EST
Spread: Cavaliers -1.5
Total: 226.5
Two teams with the walking wounded match up on Monday night in Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The good news for the visiting Phoenix Suns is star guard Devin Booker is probable to return tomorrow for this game. The home team Cleveland Cavaliers will still be without Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley among many other casualties in street clothes tomorrow. Let’s go with the Suns plus a point and a half. The total seems lined up correctly to me so I’m not making a play on either side of it.
Best Bet: Suns +1.5 (-110)
Toronto Raptors vs. Denver Nuggets
Tipoff – 9:00 pm EST
Spread: Nuggets -12.5
Total: 225.5
I’m really leaning into fading the injured teams on Monday, and not many are more injured than the Toronto Raptors. Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl and (maybe) RJ Barrett will miss this game in Denver – three starters – as well as former Nugget reserve Bruce Brown. Meanwhile, the defending champion Denver Nuggets are healthy and at home. This is too big of a hill for Toronto to climb. The Nuggets cover the huge 12.5-point line for us. No play on the total once again – this one looks about right to me.
