Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – March 5
Paolo Banchero – Higher than 20.5 Points
I really like Paolo Banchero to get higher than 20.5 points tomorrow against the Charlotte Hornets. First of all, it’s the Hornets – they stink, especially on defense.
Plus, Banchero is averaging 22.9 ppg for the season, and has scored 29 in both of his last two games, against a couple of other lousy teams, the Utah Jazz and the Detroit Pistons. I don’t know why his number is set so low for Tuesday, but I’ll take it.
Jaylen Brown – Higher than 21.5 Points
Jaylen Brown is on a tear for the Boston Celtics, who are also on a tear, and I expect him to tear up the undermanned Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow night. Tear.
Brown is up to 22.5 ppg for the season, and has topped this 21.5 point projection in four straight games and five of six. The only game I failed to get at least 22 in he scored 21. With the Cavs missing star Donovan Mitchell tomorrow, I think Brown can get at least 22 against them.
Brandon Ingram – Higher than 21.5 Points
Finally, let’s take another higher points play and plan on Brandon Ingram to score at least 22 against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. Toronto is not a good defensive team and they’ll be missing three key players tomorrow (Scottie Barnes, Bruce Brown, and Jakob Poeltl).
Ingram has gradually increased his scoring over the past four games, all of them topping 22 points: 22, 24, 30, and 34 points. There’s no reason why he can’t keep it going tomorrow in Toronto.
