Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – March 2
Nikola Jokic – Higher than 1.5 Three-Pointers Made
In the two games this year against the Lakers, Jokic has turned things up. Notably, his ability to clean up the glass has been big, but Underdog has recognized that and set the projection at 13.0. The projection that hasn’t caught up to his past production is his three-pointers made projection.
In the two games against the Lakers this year, he’s taken 11 shots from downtown for an average of 5.5 attempts per game. He also shot 45.5% and scored five times from beyond the arc. He should be able to keep up that aggression and production here on Saturday.
Nic Claxton – Lower than 9.5 Rebounds
Some of Nic Claxton’s best games on the boards this year have come against the Hawks. However, he faced them just two days prior and wound up with only eight boards. That number is actually decent considering what the rest of his February looked like. In a dozen games, he cleared this mark just four times. I think he stays ‘lower than’ yet again on this one.
Collin Sexton – Higher than 17.5 Points
In February, there were just two games were Sexton didn’t take at least 10 shots. In the last month, he’s beat this projection in 88.9% of games where he has at least 10 shots. So really, it just comes down to whether he’ll be busy enough. While the Heat like to slow things down, the fact that the Jazz are 7th in the league in pace should lead to him clearing this mark.
