NBA Picks February 8, 2024

San Antonio Spurs vs. Orlando Magic

Tipoff: 7:00 pm EST
Spread: Magic -11
Total: 224

The Orlando Magic will welcome the San Antonio Spurs to town on will be on a back-to-back game. The Spurs played last night in Miami and are making the short trip to Orlando.

Thus far this season, on back-to-back situations, the Spurs are 2-6 SU, 3-5 ATS, and are allowing 125.6 points per game. Further, on the road in back-to-back situations, the Spurs allow 133.5 points per game.

Despite the Magic struggling offensively over the last five games, I believe the offense can find success against this bad defense of the Spurs. Lastly, the Spurs have allowed at least 120+ points on the road in back-to-back games.

Best Bet: Magic Team Total Over 117.5

Golden State Warriors vs. Indiana Pacers

Tipoff – 7:00 pm EST
Spread: Pacers -5.5
Total: 250.5

Another team that will be in a back-to-back situation on Thursday night will be the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors took care of business in the game on Wednesday night against the Sixers in convincing fashion, 127-104.

Further, the Warriors starters did not play significant minutes in this game. Both Steph Curry and Draymond Green sat the entire 4th quarter. Green played for only 18 minutes, and Curry played for 25 minutes.

Thus far this season, the Warriors are 4-1 to the Over in back-to-back games. The Warriors will travel to take on a high-power offense and one of the fastest teams in the NBA, the Indiana Pacers.

The Pacers are 19-8 (70.4%) to the Over at home this season, averaging nearly 248 points per game. Furthermore, both teams are top 10 in pace in the last five games. I expect to see plenty of baskets in this game.

Best Bet: Warriors/Pacers Over 250.5

YTD Record: 32-22 (59.2%)
