WM Phoenix Open x Super Bowl LVIII Cross-Sport Props

Cross-sport props are an underrated gem of Super Bowl week. It is not every week in the sports calendar we can sweat how many birdies Thomas Detry is making on a Friday while waiting to sweat Brock Purdy’s rushing yards a few days later. There are many props and angles to attack in these markets, and that is what we will do. Here are the WM Phoenix Open and Super Bowl LVIII Cross-Sport Props.

What Will Be Higher?

Brandon Aiyuk Total Receiving Yards SB LVIII -145

Lowest Round Score at WM Phoenix Open +115

The course record at TPC Scottsdale is 60. That was done twice by Phil Mickelson in the early 2000s. Since then, the course has beefed up, and we will more than likely not see a 60. With a little rain in the forecast, I am looking at 64 or 65 as the lowest rounds we will see this week.

That sets up for Aiyuk to need about 70 yards to cash his side of the prop, which is an extremely fair line. If we are thinking about how the game script will go, I would expect KC to put up some points. This will lead to SF needing to air it out a little more than normal, leading to more chances for Aiyuk.

If that is not the case, he just needs one bomb to go his way! Lay the juice here. I think he has a few avenues to cash his side of the prop.

The Pick: Brandon Aiyuk Total Receiving Yards SB LVIII -145

What Will Be Higher?

Nick Bosa Total Sacks SB LVIII -140

Total Hole-in-Ones WM Phoenix Open +110

The WM Phoenix Open is labeled “The Peoples Open” for a reason. They will set up the course with pin positions that will be favorable for the players. Year in and year out, we see aces in this event. They want to get the people going and feed into the rowdy nature of this event.

Nick Bosa is the favorite in this prop, but I think he will have some trouble sacking Mahomes. By no means is this a knock on Bosa. It just boils down to Mahomes being so great at evading the pass rush or simply throwing the ball away.

We will get a minimum of one ace in this event, possibly more. I will take the plus money side on Mahomes’ evasion skills for this prop.
