NBA Picks February 2, 2024

Phoenix Suns vs. Atlanta Hawks

Tipoff: 7:30 pm EST
Spread: Suns -3.5
Total: 248.5

The Phoenix Suns will continue their road trip to Atlanta to take on the Hawks. Both teams are firing on all cylinders and playing well and efficiently on the offensive end. In fact, both teams are top 10 in offensive efficiency over the last five games.

Furthermore, the Hawks are one of the most profitable teams to the Over at home. As a matter of fact, the Hawks are 15-8 (65.2%) to the Over, averaging 247 points per game. Additionally, the Over is 6-2 in non-conference home games for the Hawks.

The Hawks are also the 4th worst defensive-rated team over the last five games. Lastly, the Hawks are playing at the second-fastest pace in the league over the five games. I expect to see a barn burner in this matchup!

Best Bet: Suns/Hawks Over 248.5

Charlotte Hornets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Tipoff – 8:00 pm EST
Spread: Thunder -16.5
Total: 233

The Oklahoma City Thunder will welcome the Charlotte Hornets to town, and I am looking to continue to fade the Hornets. The Hornets come into this game as one of the worst teams against the spread on the road. In fact, the Hornets are 5-18 (21.7%) SU and 8-15 (34.8%) ATS on the road.

Meanwhile, the Thunder are the best team against the spread at home. The Thunder are 18-6 (75%) SU and 16-8 (66.7%) ATS. Furthermore, as a double-digit favorite at home this season, the Thunder are 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS. I expect the Thunder to roll in this game and take care of business in a non-conference game.

Lastly, I believe the Hornets will struggle to score in this game. The Hornets have the fourth-worst offensive rating over the last five games. In the same span, the Thunder have the fourth-best defensive rating.

Best Bet: Thunder -16.5 and Hornets TT Under 107.5

YTD Record: 29-20 (59.2%)
