2023-2024 NBA Updated MVP Betting Odds & Picks

The MVP race is going to be intriguing as we head into the All-Star break and the second half of the season. Not only will bettors have to keep track of player stats, but also how many games players can miss until they reach the threshold of 65 games. Nonetheless, below are a few players to get down on right now that still have value to win MVP.

Shai Gilegous-Alexander +300

SGA has been playing at an MVP level for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the team is in the battle for the #1 seed in the Western Conference. SGA is averaging 31.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game.

Further, SGA has led the Thunder to a 32-15 record, which is third-best in the Western Conference. Additionally, SGA has played in 46 of the 47 games this season. Despite short odds, SGA provides plenty of reasons to be the MVP.

Giannis Antetokounmpo +750

The former MVP and his team have plenty of pressure on their shoulders. Giannis has missed only two games for the Bucks this season. Recently, the Bucks hired Doc Rivers as their head coach in hopes of leading them to another NBA title. Further, Giannis is averaging 31 points per game, 11.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.

We know Giannis is one of the best players in the league. I believe there is value in Giannis if the Bucks can figure it out and climb the standings in the East to possibly end up as the #1 seed.

Jayson Tatum +4000

Currently, the Boston Celtics sit as the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 4.5-game lead over the Milwaukee Bucks. If the Celtics end up as the #1 seed, Tatum has to be considered for MVP.

Despite not having the stats the other front-runners possess, Tatum is averaging 26.9 points per game, along with 8.4 rebounds.

If the Celtics continue to win games, Tatum has to be the best player for this team. Lastly, Tatum has missed only three games, leaving him plenty of leeway for the 65-game threshold.

Jalen Brunson +10000

The New York Knicks have been one of the best teams defensively since they traded for O.G. Anunoby. However, much of the team’s offensive success and winning has been due to Jalen Brunson.

Now, this is a 100/1 for a reason, but it doesn’t hurt to throw a few dollars on it the way Brunson has been playing for the Knicks. Thus far this season, Brunson is averaging 26.8 points and 6.5 assists per game.

Further, Brunson has missed only two of the 48 games the Knicks have played this season.

If the Knicks can continue winning games and climb the standings, especially with all the injuries they are dealing with, Brunson could enter the conversation for NBA MVP.
