Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 27
Joradn Poole – Lower than 19.5 Points + Assists
Poole went off in his last game against the Jazz for 18 points, which blew his recent totals out of the water. He had combined for 11 total points over his previous two games. He also is just not picking up any dimes lately. He had just nine assists over the last five games, which comes out to less than two a game over that span. Even if his scoring were to stay up a bit, he’s going to have trouble hitting this number.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope – Higher than 2.5 Rebounds
Caldwell-Pope put up a big 0-fer on the boards last game against the Knicks. That’s not what you want to see heading into taking the “Higher than” on his rebounds. In the previous four games, he had hit that projection in every single game. He averaged 4.5 per game over that four game stretch and barely made us sweat on a 2.5 projection in any of them. Let’s consider the Knicks game just a blip on the radar.
Taurean Prince – Higher than 9.5 Points
His season average comes in a touch higher than we see here. He has 9.9 per game so far, which already gives me some faith that he can hit this projection. Then you look at what he’s done in his last three games. It seems like the trend is in the right direction. He has double-figures in three staight games and is averaging 11.7 per game in that time frame. Playing the Warriors, who are in the bottom third of the league in points allowed, shouldn’t hurt.
