Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 24
Brandon Miller – Higher than 17.5 Points
Charlotte rookie Brandon Miller is on a heater (probably because I dropped him in fantasy recently). The second overall pick in last year’s draft has scored 24, 23, and 27 points over his last three games. With Terry Rozier on his way to Miami, more shots will be up for grabs on the Hornets – good news for Miller. Also good news – he plays the lowly Detroit Pistons tomorrow night.
Kyle Kuzma – Lower than 18.5 Points
Speaking of lowly teams, let’s make a play on a Washington Wizards player. Kyle Kuzma, Washington’s leading scorer this season, is most definitely not on a heater, scoring 15, 11, and 17 over his last three games. He hasn’t topped this 18.5-point projection in three straight games and four of his last six. And he’s up against Minnesota and their vaunted defense tomorrow.
Jaren Jackson Jr – Higher than 25.5 Points
Back to a guy on a heater – Jaren Jackson Jr. Seeing him set at 25.5 points might seem high for a player like him, but he’s really stepped up with Memphis’ top two scorers, Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, on the sidelines. The defensive stalwart has scored 36, 26, and 27 points over his last three games, and had two other games over 25.5 points earlier this month. Let’s hope he keeps the hot hand tomorrow against the Heat.
