Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 23
Jalen Brunson – Higher than 11.5 Rebounds + Assists
Jalen Brunson has been continued to be the big scorer that the Knicks need night in and night out. Over the last four games, he’s gone for 30+ in each game. However, he’s done a much better job of getting on the boards lately. He’s had 6.5 rebounds per game over the last two. Having only one game below seven assists this month gives me faith that, if he keeps rebounding, this projection should be easy.
Lauri Markkanen – Higher than 9.0 Rebounds
Makkanen is another guy who has been all over the boards lately. His average is just a whisker below this projection, but he hasn’t failed to make this projection in some time. In fact, it was January 5th the last time he came up short of this number. New Orleans gave up 59 rebounds to their opponent last game too. That should make this an easier night for Markkanen.
Chet Holmgren – Lower than 7.5 Rebounds
What Holmgren has done so far this year should have him on the fast track to a Rookie of the Year Award. With that being said, he’s not been grabbing the boards as of late. In fact, the Thunder have had him out around the perimeter more as of late. This has left him with just five rebounds exactly in each of the last three games. That’s enough to fade his chances here.
