Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 4
Nikola Jokic – Lower than 48.5 Points + Rebs + Asts
Nikola Jokic is really, really good, but 48.5 points plus rebounds plus assists is too high of a total for him tomorrow against the Golden State Warriors on the road. He’s only averaging 47.1 points plus rebounds plus assists this season, has gone under 48.5 in two straight games, and has only topped it once in his past five games.
Jamal Murray – Higher than 22.5 Points
I am, however, taking the higher than 22.5 points for Jokic’s teammate, Jamal Murray, tomorrow night. He’s topped this projection in three of his last four games, and four of his last six. Plus, Golden State has one of the worst defenses in the NBA this season, ranking 20th. I like my fellow Kitchener native to have a nice scoring night tomorrow on national TV.
Stephen Curry – Lower than 9.0 Rebounds + Assists
Stephen Curry is averaging exactly nine rebounds plus assists this season, but nine isn’t higher than nine, right?! And he hasn’t gone higher than nine rebounds plus assists in five straight games. And, unlike Golden State, Denver has a top-notch defense, giving up the second least points per game, so they should be able to limit his assists.
