Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – January 3
Tyrese Haliburton – Higher than 13.0 Assists
Look, I don’t think his 20-per-game streak was a sustainable thing. I think when he came back down the earth in the first of back to back games with the Bucks with 11 is a little more like it. However, it does feel like he’s going to find a middle ground in this one. The total on this game is set at 258.5, which means even if the under hits, there will be plenty of chances for him to rack up some dimes.
Ivica Zubac – Higher than 9.5 Rebounds
He may not be stuffing the stat lines with points, but Zabac has been racking up the boards as of late. In his last three games, he’s averaged 15.3 rebounds per game. While Phoenix is typically tough on the boards, he’s been dwarfing this projection. Also, without Durant, there is one less guy grabbing boards, and more shots are likely to be missed.
Cade Cunningham – Higher than 22.5 Points
After riding this stat line successfully in back-to-back games, Cunningham gave me a real dud on Monday. He only managed six and turned the ball over a ton. After a pair of 30+ point games, it was a huge letdown. Still, I think this is a big bounceback spot for him. After all, the Jazz are in the bottom third in terms of points allowed. They are also bad enough that the Pistons might just stay in this game.
