NBA Picks December 29th
Brooklyn Nets vs. Washington Wizards

Total: 240
Picking the Washington Wizards to lose and not beat the spread is a pretty solid go-to move this season. They’ve been outscored by over 10 points per game this season, and their last four losses and seven of their last eight have come by more than the six-point spread they are lined up at tomorrow. After getting smoked by the Milwaukee Bucks in their last game, I’m picking the Brooklyn Nets to bounce back and cover here against the Wizards – the total I’m not touching.

New York Knicks vs. Orlando Magic
Tipoff – 7:00 pm EST
Spread: Magic -1.5
Total: 226.5
I picked the New York Knicks as an underdog to cover the spread last game and they burned me. Fool me once, shame on you. They won’t fool me again. But I’m mostly picking the Orlando Magic on Friday because they are a powerhouse at home this season, going 11-4 in the Kia Center, good for the eighth-best home record in the NBA this season. The surprise team of the Eastern Conference hasn’t slipped yet. The total is in the correct range in my eyes, so no play once again on it.
