NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup for Christmas Day
PG – Luka Doncic – DAL – $11,400
If you’re looking for a star to show out on Christmas Day, look no further than Luka Doncic. He’s gone for 38+ points in four of his last five games. He’s had been within two assists/rebounds of a triple double in each of his last four games. The Suns rank 24th in fantasy points given up to point guards, so this should be the foundation of any good NBA DFS lineup.
SG – Derrick White – BOS – $7,100
Speaking of teams who have looked shotty against guards, the Lakers rank 23rd in the league in giving up fantasy points to the backcourt. Meanwhile, Derrick White is out here giving up 50+ fantasy points in two of his last three games. Those numbers are way above what you’d project for this salary and well worth a play.
SF – Jamie Jaquez Jr. – MIA – $5,700
Jaquez Jr. is a little bit of boom or bust play. On one hand, he’s come up short of 20 fantasy points in two of the last three games. On the other hand, he’s gone for 32+ fantasy points in four of his last six games. Some of that value is derrived from his defense. With the 76ers ranking 25th in the league in allowing blocks, he might just find some love there.
PF – Jonathan Kuminga – GSW – $5,600
Kuminga has gotten much busier on the boards as of late. After averaging 3.8 boards per game for the season, he’s got after it in the last three games. He’s pulled down 17 in the last three games, which is good for 5.7 per game in that time.
C – Isaiah Hartenstein – NYK – $5,800
Speaking of getting busy on the boards, Hartenstrein has been wild in his production as of late. He’s averaging 6.8 rebounds on the season, but is averaging 12.5 per game over the last four. With the Bucks throwing up a ton of low percentage shots, he should have plenty of attempts.
G – Brandin Podziemski – GSW – $5,500
As we get down into the bargin bin, we’re looking for some guys with high upside. Podziemski is for sure a guy who has that because he spreads out the stat sheet. He’s not dependent so much on matchups because he’s always good for some defensive stats and a handful of points, rebounds and assists. Coming off of a near triple double – let’s ride with the hot hand.
F – Rui Hachimura – LAL – $5,000
Hachimura is getting a lot more burn than usual. After back to back games with 17 minutes or less, he’s played at least 30 minutes in the last two. When he’s on the court, he’s valuable with points and boards. In hopes that he maintains the playing time, he’s a usage play here.
UTIL – Pat Connaughton – MIL – $3,900
If you’re trying to round out your lineup with less than $4,000, you could do a lot worse than Connaughton. He’s gone for 8 points and 8 boards in back to back games. The Knicks are also in the bottom third of the league in giving up three-pointers. Connaughton is probably going to get five attempts here, which should be enough for him to have value.
