Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – December 19
Jayson Tatum – Higher than 28.5 Points
It might seem like a bit of a stretch to get on the higher than for this one. Tatum, after all, has only cleared this projection once in the last five games. However, he’s going up against the Warriors who are 19th in the league in points allowed with 115.7 a game. They’ve actually been a touch worse as of late too, so I see Tatum taking advantage in this one.
Keldon Johnson – Higher than 19.5 Points
With two defenses in the bottom eight of the league in terms of points allowed, it’s pretty obvious this one is going to be a shootout. Johnson has been a bit cool shooting as of late – shooting less than 38% from the field in three of the last four games. However, that’s uncharacteristic for him as he’s still shooting 46.5% on the year. As long as he progresses back to the mean a bit, 20 points should be well within his reach.
Jusuf Nurkic – Higher than 11.5 Rebounds
I actually had to do a double take then I saw the projection posted for Nurkic’s rebounds. He hasn’t gone south of this porjection in four games and has averaged 16 per game in that span. I know the Blazers have Deandre Ayton who will challenge him for some of those boards. Still, I’ll take Nurkic in a revenge game against his old squad to match that.
