We’ve got a relatively busy Thursday in the NBA tomorrow, with a seven-game slate. I’ve zeroed in on a couple of games played out west that I like the lines and totals for. Here are my NBA picks for December 14th.

NBA Picks December 14th
Brooklyn Nets vs. Denver Nuggets
Tipoff – 9:00 pm EST
Spread: Nuggets -9.5
Total: 228.5
This is hardly fair for the Brooklyn Nets. As these words are being typed, they are in Brooklyn facing the Phoenix Suns. Then they’ve got to fly out to Denver to face the defending champion Nuggets tomorrow night at elevation, no less. Rough, even if Jamal Murray doesn’t suit up for Denver. The champs should be able to roll here, and I think the Nets’ tired legs and lungs will help this total hit the Under.
Best Bet: Nuggets -9.5 (-115), Lakers/Mavericks Under 235.5 (-110)
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Sacramento Kings
Tipoff – 10:00 pm EST
Spread: Kings -1.5
Total: 241.5
Two of the Western Conference’s best teams hook up on Thursday night, as the 15-7 Oklahoma City Thunder visit the 13-9 Sacramento Kings. While the Kings are a very solid 7-3 at the Golden 1 Center, the Thunder are a wagon on the road, also going 7-3 so far. And I like what I’m seeing from them more than the Kings lately. The road team plus the points is the play, as is the Under (I project this one to end in the low 230s).
Best Bet: Thunder +1.5 (-110), Thunder/Kings Under 241.5 (-110)
